Personal Property List Overview

Our technicians are required to complete a detailed personal property list for every job. This inventory list tracks all the items that have been impacted by blood or bodily fluids or were otherwise damaged due to the event that has occurred.

Any porous or semi-porous items that have come in to contact with bodily fluids will need to be properly treated and, most of the time, will need to be disposed of at an approved biohazardous waste treatment facility.  This document is supported by photographs to show proof of loss of the items.  This information especially important if you need to show proof of loss of personal property to your insurance company.

Some of the things your insurance company may replace or reimburse you for include:

  • Personal items
  • Furniture
  • Appliances
  • Flooring
  • Doors or windows
  • Damage to drywall or paint
  • Damage to structural elements

Your insurance company may use our list with the supporting photographs to review your claim for reimbursement. Our claims specialists will work with you every step of the way.

How It Works

Continue reading about our thorough remediation process and how it works – our team is here to help alleviate your stress.

Bacteria & Germ Testing

Our technicians at BioteamOR perform ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) tests at the start and end of our remediation service. The ATP test allows us to measure the presence of actively growing odor-causing microorganisms.

Document Retrieval

If we find that any important documents have been directly damaged with biohazard, the senior technician will explain the procedures required in order to salvage as much information from the documents as possible.

Post-Remediation Evaluation

If requested, we are happy to provide a post-remediation certification to you, property management, or your insurance company. This certification serves as proof that the property has undergone thorough evaluation.
